PROJECT DESCRIPTION
PUCP managed to have the first building on a university campus in Peru that has the LEED Certifications Level Gold.

The building has a natural ventilation system in classrooms, toilets, rest areas and corridors, thus avoiding the use of air conditioning systems. The construction allows savings of 50% in water consumption and 41% savings of water for irrigation of green areas. All of the adhesives, sealants and paints used were low VOC and 65% of the wood implemented is FSC certified wood. Additionally, 35% of the materials are of Peruvian origin or from neighboring countries.
