The construction of the Karl Parrish Library is part of the campus of the Universidad del Norte and seeks to provide a comfortable space that allows the progress of student activities. In addition, values as an organization seek to convey to students a message of social, economic, environmental and cultural integrity and development, implementing sustainability measures that make the new building more efficient.
The architectural concept includes study and reading rooms, two biblabs, two cubicle areas, four meeting rooms, a large meeting room and the possibility of creating individual or group areas with different degrees of silence. LEED® New Construction is being worked on in this project.
